Documenting Quality Management System Objectives.

In establishing a quality management system the organisation should document quality objectives based on the quality policy including those objectives needed to meet customer needs and requirements. The objectives should be measurable and consistent with the quality policy and be reviewed regularly. Senior management should establish a plan to achieve and maintain the quality objectives. The plans should be reviewed regularly. The next stage is for quality manual to be established and include a brief description of the organisation, the scope of its products/services, the quality policy, an organisation chart defining accountability and reporting relationships and an outline of the processes and the documentation established in order for the quality management system to be effective.
