I want to know how I hook up a USB 2.0 external hard disk drive to my satellite and transfer shows on to it so I can burn it to a disk. Once it is hooked up then what?
I am interested too so I am going to keep an eye on this one.

I just started watching the Jericho series, and I started became interested in its concept. Are there any other shows or movies that are about post nuclear war scenarios? Those with a group of survivors trying to survive? Last man on earth movies (besides I Am Legend)? Group of survivors starting a new civilization with conflicts involving other survivors from another group? Post nuclear war scenarios?

Is it possible to buy the rights to old cartoon shows and and televison shows? And whom do you contact about it? I dont have any cartoons or shows in mind in particular just wondering.
I reckon it is possible. Somebody owns the rights to all media related products, I´m sure somebody owns these and everything in out materialistic world has a price. Whether it is realistic is a completely different matter. If you are talking about Disney or Hannah Barbera (sorry I don´t know how to spell it), then I reckon you have no chance. They are not in the industry of selling some of their prized goods, no matter how much you offered. I think maybe some companies just do not sell for nostalgia, or whatever reasons. If you are talking about the BBC, again being government supported, I think money is not an object so you will have no chance. Companies have spent a lot of hard work making these shows, I don´t think they would like to see royalties going to somebody else. If it is Remotesville Super Independent Media then you might stand a chance. Again if you pay enough, the smaller company may bend. I don´t know the law of copywriting either, and have probably just wasted 5 minutes of you time. But I think it is possible, just not likely.
Is the consumption of alcoholic drinks legal in cooking or travel shows. The Travel Channel and Food Network shows (such as Racheal Ray’s $40 a Day) show the hosts drinking. Are they really drinking or are they drinking apple juice and water?]
I was always under the impression that they are drinking real alcohol because the purpose of them being there is to tell us about the food and drink of certain places.
It’s the same with reality shows correct?
Why would it be illegal? Provided the show’s hosts are old enough to drink, they should be allowed to do so whether they are being filmed or not.
It’s possible that aren’t actually drinking though, because often they’ll need to do several takes, and if they keep drinking the wine in every take, they might end up to drunk to do the next scene!

I’m trying to do so without having to take them off my old Macbook, put them on an external drive, and then onto the new Macbook. For some reason, I thought iTunes would recognize purchased material? I really like fantasy and science fiction shows, but I don’t have cable or satellite or anything, so I don’t get the sci-fi channel; I can only watch the free/public channels. It would be nice to know what fantasy and sci-fi shows I could watch.
