Slow cooking with a chiminea
Chiminea are not the same as bbqs. I mean they look different for a start and have an enclosed heat source a little like an oven with an open door. Because the heat is concentrated food tends to cook quickly especially if you are looking to use skewers or something like that. However, you can slow cook with one too if you wrap your food in foil. Basic, obvious things to cook are potatoes, shellfish and the like but the limit is really only your imagination. You can use charcoal or wood as your fuel. Purists will tell you that wood is best but either is fine actually. So try a little imagination the next time you cook with your cast iron chiminea.
