There is a difference between commitment and foolishness. When student populations are large, it is encouraged that use be made of your available resources. Education suffers when inventory administrators insist on hand scoring each student score sheet. However, if scoring can be accomplished by hand in a timely fashion, that consideration should be evaluated.
Be honest with yourself as it relates to timely test evaluation. Make it your personal mission to develop the capacity to act in a way that will always benefit the students. Based on what you have just read, can you think of a way that you can adapt your current teaching style to be more effective?
