What is the event called, where mlb players compete in who can hit the most homers, etc?

I remember watching this event on ESPN, a bunch of major league baseball players were in San Francisco, i think at the Giants’ stadium, and players took turns being thrown pitches and seeing how many home runs they could hit in a row, and other various baseball related events.

Does anyone know what this event is called, and when is the next time it will take place? Thanks!

It is called the Home Run Derby. Next year it will be at Angel Stadium on July 12, 2010.
