How can I watch tv and sporting events on my pc via internet?

I don’t watch a lot of tv, but I do have a few shows and sporting events I like to watch. Is there a way i can watch these on my pc via internet? I have a very nice monitor and want to save money by not having a cable tv bill every month. Is there a free or at least cheap way to watch tv shows/sporting events via the internet?

Well this is a common misconception. You can’t just turn on your PC and watch TV. What you can do is find networks like Sci-Fi channel, A&E, even some of the big names like NBC and ABC that put their shows on the internet. It’s becoming more and more a norm then it used to be.

well while watching tv on the net is nice-thiers no way of watching the exact show when you want to watch it -their is justin tv but most of the time it gets pulled from the server for right infringement rules their is also readon tv but again sometime the quality is so poor.and you dont get the whole show.as of yet thier is no good programs out thier that will beat cable quality
and no tv for pc is a scam every channel on thier either dont work or you can get on the net for free

Download sopcast, or another medium which broadcasts sports. Try googling something you’re looking for. "Ufc 101 live stream", etc…

This site also regularly provides stream locations to sporting events.
You can always download events such as UFC PPV or the Superbowl 3-4 hrs after it happens if you can’t find a stream.
