Probably Google Calendar is the best and easiest one, which can be accessed over the Internet on any computer.

One of the cool things about Google's Calendar is that you can add access to your friends and family, so that you can all add important dates or reminders.
References :
http://www.google.com/calendar/

KeepandShare.com has an online calendar that does a great job of this. Accounts are free. Depending on whether you want to control access by multiple folks you could create multiple accounts.

But, more simply, since each account includes 9 separate calendars, you could create your event calendar "1", and then use KeepandShare's 'overlay' feature to bring that Calendar1 into your Calendar2, into Calendar3, calendar4 etc. Then you can do any customization in cal2,3,4 you like without changing cal1, and any changes you make to cal1 are instantly picked up by cal2,3,4.

Powerful sharing controls and beautiful PDF printing round out the picture.
References :
http://www.keepandshare.com
