Digidesign VENUE - D-Show Profile

August 30, 2009 - 5:14 pm 2 Comments

This compact mixing console is a size-conscious alternative to its acclaimed big brother D-Show™, the flagship console of the VENUE line. It’s also fully compatible with all existing VENUE hardware and software. That’s right—with D-Show Profile, the legendary sound quality, flexibility, and reliability of a VENUE system is now available for small- to mid-sized environments and applications such as houses of worship, corporate events, theaters, nightclubs, and remote broadcasts.

D-Show Profile takes full advantage of existing Stage and FOH racks, and allows you to connect your VENUE system to Pro Tools|HD® and Pro Tools LE™ systems via an additional hardware option for recording and playback. Best of all, D-Show and D-Show Profile operate on the same D-Show™ control software and operating system, meaning you can forget about ever having to learn new software or rebuild your console settings from scratch when moving between VENUE mixing consoles.

Queen - Live At Wembley - Part 03 (03/14)

August 27, 2009 - 3:40 pm 25 Comments

12.07.1986, London (Wembley Stadium), England.

Probably the most famous Queen concert, they deliver an overall amazing show, playing their classic songs and they got a rowdy crowd on top of it all! The setlist was quite special (Queen played ‘Gimme Some Lovin’ or ‘Big Spender’ only scarcely) and there were even rumours about David Bowie’s appearance for ‘Under Pressure’ but that unfortunately didn’t happen.
Brian May said of the concert, “The Wembley concerts in 1986 were the pinnacle for us. We were at our height band-wise, and Freddie had developed this phenomenal way of dealing with stadium audiences. Being back home in London playing two sell-out nights was such a big, big occasion for us. None of us realized that this would be almost the last time we played together.” The band played only two more UK concert dates together.
