Many theatres will put on a new play IF the theatre itself is doing well. Putting out new material doens't often pull in an audience. If your name means nothing to theatre goers then you need to go to them with a complete marketing plan as well. Talk to everyone. See how you can build buzz about your show. Ask the theatre owner if they like your work and if they have connections to any name talent who may be interested in performing it. What about a good director? You need to work out all the details, not to mention copyrighting your material... If youre lucky other theatres will want to produce it and you will eventually need to set up licensing.

good luck,

what i would do is go to your local community theater and ask them if they would read over the script and if they liked it if they could perform it!
