It means they don’t take any of the profit for the tickets, or money they make, they use it for other stuff or give it to the school or something.

It means that they have registered and been approved by the federal and state governments as a charity, and are recognized as such. They don’t have to pay income tax. They are eligible to apply for grants. They are expected to not have a surplus of money at the end of the year. Blah blah blah.
