How much is a speeding ticket in Indiana?

February 2, 2010 - 6:33 pm

I got a speeding ticket today and I also got another ticket for not having my license with me. I was going 55 in a 40 mph zone. So about how much would I pay?

it varies from state to state but with a plus 15 mph speeding ticket and one for having no license with you, i’d guess you’re looking at several hundred bucks, my guess is $335. Just a guess. Be thankful–in some states they would probably tow your vehicle.

    $185 for speeding
around $30 for not having your license… although i do believe in Indiana that you do have 24 hours to show proof of ID & or drivers license.

You should pay a lot and go to school for it, maybe get your license taken away. People who create unsafe conditions should not be allowed to be on the road. If you made these two mistakes, what else is out there.

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck!
