How necessary is it to reserve tickets for Vegas shows?

I’m going to Vegas during the week (Sunday through Wednesday) and want to see some shows. Is it a good idea to reserve tickets or are tickets generally available the day of at the box office?

Unless you absolutely want to see a certain show I would not reserve tickets. Go to the half price ticket booths all over Vegas early in the morning and see what shows they have available. Right now most shows are available there especially Sunday through Wednesday. Week ends are not as bad. You can go to this site and on the coupon page click on free coupons. There you will find a discount on top of the discount at the Tix4tonight ticket booths. That usually saves you the service fee they charge.

  1. What i do is usually reserve the tickets online at the hotel website a week before the show i want to see because if you get to the ticket booth and get tickets you may find out that all the good seats are gone as i did with the Lion King at the mandalay bay casino. I will check online first, some show my have discounts by booking online.. Plus you get to see the map of the arena and where you want to sit..

  2. STOP!!!! Do not get your ticket from the box office. Go to one of the Half price ticket booths. There are dozens around town, on the strip, and in the hotels. Me and my wife went and saw PEEPSHOW last summer. The PEEPSHOW box office wanted $380 for 2 tickets for a table right next to the stage. We went to the half price discount ticket place, and paid $204!!! You have to buy your tickets the day of the show and the ticket place opens up at 9 am ish. Since you are saving all that $ on the tickets then you can go to a really nice dinner for the $ you saved… Hope this helps.

  4. Reserve it online after you get the right seats. Most shows sell out or close to it. Half priced outlets have always been a pain and take up way too much of your time. The tickets on day of show are an ify bet, It’s not like LA or Broadway on show nights. Good Luck.

  5. Reserving your tickets online is just a way that they suck you into getting your money right then. The half price ticket booths are for sure the best way to go. Since you are going during the week it should be no problem getting good tickets.

  6. It really depends on the type of show you are trying to see… If it’s a really popular show that tends to sell out then book online… You may even find a small discount… but if you are willing to take whats available… meaning seats and shows then definitely wait and go to the half off box offices…

  8. First of all I LOVE VEGAS :) I use this site: https://www.goldstar.com/join?p=F989000RP They don’t have all of the show tickets available in Vegas, but they have great discounts on lots of different types of shows, including La Reve and the Blue Man Group. Good luck.
