Can you buy concert tickets from a venue’s box office to avoid convenience charges?

More importantly, would I have to wait until the day of the concert? I would like to just drop by the venue and see if I can purchase general admission tickets early.

Its better to buy the tickets before the day of the event as most of the times, tickets are sold out by then.
