Does anyone know an affordable wedding reception venue in NJ?

My fiance and I are planning to have our wedding in May 2011 but are on a very tight budget. We live in Rahway, NJ but are willing to go anywhere for a wedding reception venue if the prices are reasonable and the food is good. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What do you consider "affordable"? And how many people are you looking to have at your wedding?

NJ and affordable don’t always go together (I’m from Bloomfield - exit 148 on the parkway) and couldn’t afford the wedding I am having in PA if I had it in NJ.

You could try The Jefferson House on Lake Hopatcong. Not sure of their rates, but its pretty and the food is awesome.
Snuffy’s Pantaigis on Rt22 is also good and that would be closer to you than Lake Hopatcong.

Is there possibly anything you could find near the shore? May might still be early in their season to get you a discount.
